Noelle teachingNoëlle Griffiths studied Fine Art at St Martin's School of Art, London 1978-82. She left London to live in Snowdonia, North Wales, to paint professionally in 1985, and has taught art part-time since 1987.

An experienced art tutor, Noëlle taught for the Open College of Arts between 1989-1998 and continues to teach a group of students from those days independently. Since 1998-present she has been course leader and tutor on the part-time Fine Art Degree Programme at the University of Wales, Bangor, as well as teaching courses from her studio and independent groups.

Noëlle paints in oil, acrylic and watercolour as well as making artist's books. She has exhibited her paintings and books widely since 1983, and has work in public and private collections in UK, Spain and US. Her artist's books are collected by the National Library of Wales, British Library, V & A Museum amongst others. See CV for more information

Noëlle started making one-off books in 1996, she started Hafod Press in 2003 and artistsbooksonline.com in 2005. She has received various awards, residencies and travel scholarships since 1986, including a research and residency tour of India in 2003 and most recently an artists' residency in Galicia, Spain.

Since 2005 Noelle has spent time painting in the Sierra de Montanchez, near Trujillo, Extremadura, South West Spain.
